About me…

In whatever way this website supports your journey, I am honored to be traveling it with you, even if I have never met you. I believe that everyone of us strengthens all of us. I’m glad you are here.

I would consider myself a heart-centered person and practitioner. I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling from St. Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois in 2006. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Upper Iowa University with a Minor in Sociology in 2003.

Over the past several years, I have participated in several intensive trainings all over the Country to receive the necessary clinical skills and interventions for becoming an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist. I completed a year long Level 1 IFS Training in Evanston, Illinois. I completed my Level 2 IFS Training in Santa Cruz, California. Lastly, I completed the final Level 3 IFS Training in Austin, Texas. I have had the distinct pleasure of being trained directly under Senior Trainers for the IFS Institute and working alongside them as a Program Assistant in Chicago and online for Level 1 Trainees learning the model. I am deeply committed to my own self-transformation because I know that the more inner work that I do on myself, the better I am at guiding my clients to do their own inner work. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, biking, fishing, reading, writing children's stories, attending concerts, and socializing my sweet dog, Bosco.

I had the high honor of receiving two years of ongoing clinical IFS consultation from the eminent IFS Lead Trainer and Innovator, Dr. Michi Rose in my steps towards specialized IFS certification. I achieved my professional certification as an IFS Therapist, issued by the IFS Institute (IFSI) in 2021. Prior to my psychotherapy license, I was fortunate to receive my post-graduate training closely under the direct clinical supervision and mentorship of renowned Psychologist, Addictionologist, and Author, Dr. Stanton Peele, PhD., J.D., where I had an opportunity to work with clients from all over the country and internationally. I have been given exclusive rights to teach and utilize all clinical components of the Life Process Program with my clients. I enjoy working with individuals, groups, and families of all age ranges with a global emphasis in the treatment of inner healing from distressing conditions and behaviors. I have enjoyed creating and presenting psycho-educational seminars and trainings, consulting with professionals, and providing supervision for other clinicians.

I have enjoyed working with a diversified range of clientele and a wide array of mental health conditions and symptoms….or as I would call them--PARTS! My clinical training and professional experience has allowed me to provide mental health and addiction services in a variety of clinical settings including emergency departments, medical detox/ inpatient/partial-hospitalization/outpatient hospital units, community behavioral health centers and agencies, residential and outpatient treatment centers, several school settings, and now private practice.
